BRETON S.p.A., Castello di Godego, Italy, introduces the Forte Flash, the high-productivity model of its Forte line of CNC production centers.
The monobloc machine offers a 3,800mm X 2,300mm (149.6” X 90.5”) travel with a working Z axis of 30mm (11.8”), and spindle options of 16KW (21.4HP) and 20KW (26.8HP) with maximum tool diameter of 140mm (5.5”). The Forte uses linear motors on the X and Y axes, with higher speeds, efficient movement and a reduction in maintenance and lubrication.
The machine includes a 32-tool carousel with HSK 880 tool holder; the 3,740mm (147.2”) X 2,240mm (88.1”) workbench includes a Metalquartz top resisting oxidation and heat expansion during cutting. The table also includes valves for automated placement of Robocup vacuum holddowns, including a folding vacuum cup to allow machining inside sink holes without stopping the machine and operator intervention.
