ALPHA PROFESSIONAL TOOLS ®, Oakland, N.J., launches the ESC-125 Wet Stone Cutter.
A redesign of its redesign of its popular AWS-125 Wet Stone Cutter,The new ESC-125 was created to meet new breathable silica standards put in place by the federal Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) last year. To reduce silica particles, the company has added a dust cover on the side of the blade guard to redirect dust from the cutting edge into an attached HEPA vacuum for dry dust removal.
Additionally, the ESC-125 is equipped with a waterjet system that delivers sufficient water to cool the cutting edge, as well as remove slurry from the cutting line ahead of the stone cutter. The water jet system is equipped with a hybrid kink/memory free water hose with a quick-disconnect garden-hose adapter. A new clamping system on the side of the blade ensures cutting stability whether the ESC is being used for cutting sink holes or making grooves for reinforcement rods with a smaller-diameter blade.
