ISLAND STONE, Watsonville, Calif., introduces a new take on the classic penny round tile, and offers a new collection of precision-built stone ledger panels.
The company’s Stone Mosaic Penny Rounds take a retro view of this historic pattern utilizing ¾” tiles in the traditional offset pattern. Stone Mosaic Penny Rounds are offered in three honed stones. Nebula ranges from light grey to rich, darker graphite tones. Tempest features dramatic flowing tones of charcoal to black with bold linear striations. And Carrara features shades of soft white with feathery grey veining.
The Evolution Collection of precision-built ledger panels utilizes exotic stones in a blend of rectangles and textures. Precipice is created of slender strips of varying lengths and thicknesses to create an offset, interlocking pattern. Interwoven utilize Island Stone’s wedge-shaped stones to accentuate the shadows created by the variations in depth.
Both designs in the Evolution Collection are available in two finishes: honed and bush hammered. They also come with precut four-piece corner sets to provide a finished, clean edge.
