THIBAUT S.A., Vire, France, introduces the 6-axes T952 CNC production center. The electro-spindle has been especially developed by Thibaut to combine sawing, machining and polishing in one machine capable of doing straight cuts, incline cuts, flat polishing, 3-D shaping, drilling and edge polishing. It also processes materials up to 8” in thickness.
A cross laser enables a precise positioning of vacuum pods on the table. Other features include a self-supporting door structure; door panels of transparent polycarbonate with a large glass surface and a big screen integrated into the door easing access to the control panel; a lighting strip to signal to the operator during processing; and an ergonomic tablet located under the control panel on which to lay paper support documents.
The machine comes with a Pilot interface for more efficiency and speed. The software has added several new features, including the ability to configure and control tools according to materials, machining simulation and a library of parametric shapes. Programming is possible either on a shop computer or directly at the machine.
