The cutting unit of the TCM 888 is mounted on a crawler to allow the machine to move smoothly and autonomously both inside a tunnel and on an open-pit quarry yard. It can move on inclined surfaces of up to 25 percent.

The TCM 888 is self-contained, and all the movements of the machine are controlled by a power unit with an endothermic motor. The machine is equipped with PLC, hydraulic proportional valves controlled by CAN-OPEN, and related software to allow all cuts to be done in automatic mode.

The company is now working on shrinking the machine’s footprint to allow cutting of materials in tighter spaces.
