Eastern Marble & Granite Supply, Scotch Plains, N.J., introduces the MWT from Ferrari & Cigarini of Maranello, Italy for automatic shaping of sills and thresholds.
The standard model has 10 (5+5) spindles – four smoothing and six beveling – adjustable from 0° to 75°, with additional versions with a different number of smoothing and bevelling spindles to suit the material being worked. The high-power mandrils are suitable for fitting any type of tool, whether abrasive or diamond tipped.
Spindles are controlled by a P.L.C. system, which can regulate each mandril individually and display machine settings; each spindleis independent whether electrically or pneumatically controlled. Material can be from 1cm-3cm thick.
