MORE™ Surface Care, San Leandro, Calif., introduces AntiEtch™, a surface treatment that protects marble from the damaging effets of acidic liquids such as lemon juice, vinegar and coffee.
The treatment renders marble and other acid-sensitive stones fully resistant to etching and staining without changing the look of the stone, and is compatible with polished, honed and textured finishes. The solution is environmentally friendly with low odor during application, will not crack or peel, is safe on food-grade surfaces, is easy to maintain, and offers durability of an expected 10 years of wear.
The product is applied to stone by MORE-certified applicators, and is already in use in selected areas in the United States. It’s been adopted by several restoration companies, including Cornerstone Restorations and Griffin Marble Restoration.
