CARAGREEN, Raleigh, N.C., introduces Finnish-made Koskisen Zero Panels to the United States market.
A particleboard made with 100 percent recycled wood and a renewable bio-based adhesive, the product unites wood chips from Koskisen, a 150-year-old plywood manufacturer, and lignin, a renewable wood-based binder developed in collaboration with Stora Enso.
By using a lignin-based binder, the panels have a significantly lower carbon footprint than traditional non-renewable particleboard made with a urea formaldehyde-based binder.
Zero Panels are ideal for flooring, indoor furniture and cabinetry while ensuring full renewability, and offering an environmentally responsible panel option for both consumers and businesses.
