COSENTINO, Coral Gables, Fla., unveils EARTHIC® by Silestone®XM, the fusion of unconventional and reclaimed materials to create a sustainable surface.
Developed in collaboration with the Italian studio Formafantasma, EARTHIC is designed to minimize the impact of future surfaces. Representing the next generation of mineral hybriq surfaces, the product has a maximum crystalline silica content of 10% and is produced with 100% renewable electrical energy and 99% recycled water.
Containing up to 30% recycled materials such as recycled glass, PET, bio-resin and Dekton® fragments, EARTHIC comes in two color series: EARTHIC/FFROM X FORMAFANTASMA and EARTHIC/RAW X COSENTINO STUDIO.
FFROM X FORMAFANTASMA colors reflect the material’s origin and sourcing as well as the process of transforming recycled materials into something new. FFROM 01 is a gray surface speckled with white recycled PET fragments creating a subtle yet intricate pattern; FFROM 02 is a darker tone of gray punctuated with white accents, and; FFROM 03 features an anthracite background with recycled PET scales scattered across the surface to resemble a night sky.
RAW X CONSENTINO STUDIO colors and patterns capture the material essence in its most authentic state, combined with shapes for a new aesthetic. RAW A features a soft dark veined pattern over a white background with an intricate design; RAW G is a concrete canvas with subtle copper touches intertwined with nebulous veins, and; RAW D is a dark natural rock background diffused with streaks of bronze that weave through the charcoal landscape.
All six colors are available in a suede finish in 327 X 159 cm slabs in thicknesses of 1.2, 2 and 3-cm.
