WALKER ZANGER, Los Angeles, expands its timeless Studio Moderne™ Stone collection. Created by interior designer Michael Berman, the Studio Moderne Stone extension features three new profiles in 10 variations.
The new designs further develop the collection’s homage to the spirit of American modernism, reflecting the Art Deco and Hollywood Regency movements while imparting a softer color palette that’s at home in today’s interiors.
“Walker Zanger is proud to be working with Michael Berman once again to collaborate on a new iteration of our popular Studio Moderne Stone collection, developing beautiful natural stone mosaics in tactile designs,” says Erika Egede-Nissen, Walker Zanger’s director of marketing.
“Claremont,” named for the California college town noted for its bungalow architecture, is an updated hexagonal bungalow tile. The “Monarch” design utilizes an interlocking octagon-and-square design reminiscent of the regal looks of European chateaux. “Parliament” features an elongated linear rhomboid.
All incorporate crisp Calacatta white marble, serene steel gray limestone and a new Celeste blue marble fabricated into geometric shapes by waterjet from selected slabs, then meticulously hand-finished. The Studio Moderne Stone extension is part of the company’s new Curated Elegance collection, which includes three separate tile collections that take natural stone to a new level of grandeur.
